Terms of Service

Effective November 3, 2026

  1. 1. About These Terms

GoatAtlas is a local business directory operated by Baby Goat Kidnap LLC, a California limited liability company (“GoatAtlas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms govern use of our website, business accounts, listings, subscriptions, and related directory services.

When you create or claim an account, submit a listing, or purchase a subscription, we will ask you to accept these Terms. If you act on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.

If our team prepares an account or listing for you, that action alone does not establish your acceptance of these Terms or authorize a charge. We will obtain your acceptance before you claim the account or purchase a subscription. An unclaimed listing does not create a payment obligation for the listed business.

Our Privacy Policy separately explains how we collect, use, retain, and share personal information.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.

  2. 2. Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Information you provide about yourself and your business must be accurate and kept up to date.

You sign in using your email address. You are responsible for protecting access to that email and for actions you authorize through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may create or claim a business listing only if you own the business or are authorized to represent it. We may request reasonable evidence of that authority.

Keep your account email current so you receive billing notices, account updates, and other important communications.

  3. 3. Listings and Our Review Process

A GoatAtlas team member reviews each new listing before publication. We may also review later updates, request supporting information, correct formatting or apparent errors, or decline a listing or requested change.

Our review checks basic business information for completeness and consistency. Unless we expressly state otherwise, it does not include background checks, inspections, or verification of licenses, insurance, professional qualifications, legal compliance, or service quality.

Businesses remain responsible for their listing information, including information initially suggested or collected from their websites. Please review and correct that information before approving it.

We may periodically ask you to confirm or update your details.

Each business category within a city is limited to 5-25 listings, depending on the size of the city as determined by data from the US Census Bureau. For this limit, a “category” is the type of business a listing is filed under on GoatAtlas (for example, Bakeries), and a “city” is the city a listing is filed under on GoatAtlas. If a category is full, you may join a waitlist. Joining does not guarantee availability, placement, or a particular waiting period.

No business can pay to rank above another. Placement may change as listings and directory features change.

A free listing does not become a paid subscription without your affirmative authorization.

  4. 4. Subscription Plans and Automatic Billing

Paid listings automatically renew for successive periods of the selected plan length unless you cancel before renewal.

Before purchase, we will display the plan length, initial charge, recurring charge, billing frequency, applicable discounts, and cancellation terms. We will obtain your affirmative authorization for recurring billing and provide a confirmation you can retain.

    Initial Payment and Approval

Your first payment is charged when you submit a paid listing. Your listing then goes to our team for review.

Your first service period begins when the listing is approved, not when payment is collected. Time spent in review does not reduce your paid service period.

If we decline the listing, or you withdraw it before approval, we will cancel the subscription and issue a full refund as described in Section 5.

    Separate Subscriptions

Each paid listing has its own subscription and billing schedule.

Renewal occurs on the corresponding billing date at the end of each service period. If that date does not exist in the renewal month, billing occurs on the last day of that month.

Each plan is charged in full at the start of its service period. Your confirmation and dashboard will identify the applicable renewal date.

    Main and Additional Listings

Your account has one Main Listing, identified in your dashboard. Other paid listings are charged at the applicable Additional Listing rate.

If your Main Listing ends while other paid listings remain, the paid listing with the earliest subscription start date becomes your Main Listing at the next renewal, unless we have agreed with you to designate a different listing. Free listings are not eligible to become the Main Listing.

The replacement listing moves to the Main Listing rate at its next renewal. Before you complete a cancellation that triggers this change, we will show the affected listing, new price, and effective date. We will also provide advance notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.

    Payment Processing and Failed Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize charges to the payment method you provide according to the subscription terms you accept.

If payment fails, we or Stripe may retry it and notify you. We may temporarily hide or suspend the affected listing while payment remains outstanding.

Suspension does not extend the paid service period unless we agree otherwise or applicable law requires it. We will not continue accruing recurring charges indefinitely for a listing we have terminated.

Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

    Price and Plan Changes

We may change subscription prices for future service periods. We will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice and any additional notice or consent required by applicable law. Where a legally required notice must be delivered within a particular window, we will provide that notice as well.

Price-change notices will explain the new charge, effective date, and how to cancel before it applies. Changes do not increase the price of a service period already paid for.

You may request a different plan length through your dashboard. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the change takes effect at the next renewal, with the price and term shown when you request it.

Promotions apply only as disclosed when offered and cannot be exchanged for cash. Any automatic transition from a promotional price to a standard price will be disclosed before purchase.

We will provide subscription confirmations, renewal reminders, annual reminders, and other notices as required by applicable law.

  5. 5. Cancellation, Visibility, and Refunds

    Canceling a Subscription

You can cancel a listing’s automatic renewal at any time through your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals when submitted; your listing remains available through the end of the current paid service period unless you request earlier removal or we have grounds to remove it.

We will provide confirmation of cancellation. You do not need to speak with a representative to cancel online.

If you cannot access your account or the cancellation feature, email admin@babygoat.io. We will treat a sufficiently identifiable cancellation request as received when it reaches us and will not require unnecessary steps to complete it.

    Hiding a Listing

Making a listing inactive hides it from public view but does not cancel its subscription or stop renewal charges.

We will display this distinction when you choose to hide a paid listing and provide access to cancellation.

    Refunds

Except as stated in these Terms, a specific offer, or applicable law, payments are nonrefundable. We do not provide partial-period refunds for voluntary cancellation, plan changes, or periods when you choose to hide a listing.

If we decline a new paid listing or you withdraw it before approval, we will initiate a full refund to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your payment provider may take additional time to post it.

We may offer another resolution, but accepting it is optional and will not be a condition of receiving the refund.

If GoatAtlas permanently ends a compliant paid listing or discontinues the paid service for reasons other than your breach, we will stop future charges and refund the unused portion of prepaid service fees.

Contact us promptly about a billing error so we can investigate. This does not limit your rights to dispute a charge or seek remedies under applicable law.

  6. 6. Referral Program

While a referral program is available, eligible members may share their referral code or link.

The offer shown when the referred business signs up will specify eligibility, the credit amount, qualification requirements, and timing. Unless the offer states otherwise, the referral code or link must be applied at signup and cannot be added retroactively.

If multiple referral codes are presented, only the code recorded with the completed signup qualifies.

You cannot earn credit by referring yourself, your own listings, or duplicate accounts you control.

Unless a specific offer states otherwise, credit is earned after the referred listing has remained active for two months and all required payments have successfully settled. A listing canceled, declined, refunded, or subject to an unresolved chargeback before qualification does not earn credit.

Credits apply to eligible future invoices for live paid listings. Where your account has multiple listings, you may select an eligible future invoice if that feature is available; otherwise, credit applies to the next eligible invoice.

Credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged for cash. Unused credit expires when your account closes, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We may change or end the program prospectively. Referrals properly recorded before a change will remain governed by the offer accepted at signup, subject to its qualification requirements.

We may withhold or reverse credit for fraud, duplicate accounts, prohibited self-referrals, refunded qualifying transactions, or other program misuse. We will explain the reason upon request, unless restricted by law or a legitimate security concern.

Do not send unlawful unsolicited messages or make misleading claims about GoatAtlas. Clearly disclose your referral benefit when required by applicable advertising or endorsement rules.

  7. 7. Support Access and Payment Information

Authorized staff may access account information and dashboard functions when reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate a problem, maintain security, or make changes you request.

Access is restricted to authorized personnel and the functions needed for the task. Support access is logged, including who accessed the account, when, and the stated purpose.

Support impersonation functions do not permit staff to cancel or reactivate subscriptions, initiate payments, or submit support requests as you. Separate authorized administrative actions, including processing a requested cancellation or refund, may be performed through our administrative systems.

Full payment-card numbers and card security codes are handled by Stripe and are not stored on GoatAtlas. Authorized staff may see limited payment information, such as card brand, last four digits, billing details, and transaction status.

Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of account and payment-related information.

  8. 8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the text, logos, images, and other materials you provide.

You grant GoatAtlas a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, display, distribute, and make technical adaptations to that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the directory.

This includes publishing your listing, making it discoverable by search engines and AI assistants, and allowing our hosting and other service providers to process content on our behalf for those purposes.

This license does not separately authorize GoatAtlas to use your content to train general-purpose AI models.

Public content may nevertheless be accessed, indexed, cached, or used by third parties under their own practices. We do not control those third parties or guarantee removal from their systems.

The license continues while your content is on GoatAtlas and for a reasonable period afterward to remove it from active systems. Limited copies may remain in backups or records maintained for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide the content and authorize these uses. Your content must be accurate, lawful, and must not infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

  9. 9. GoatAtlas Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

GoatAtlas and its licensors retain rights in the platform’s software, branding, design, and original content, excluding content owned by businesses or other third parties.

We give you limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the service for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms.

    You may not:

    • Submit an unauthorized, false, misleading, or unlawful listing.
    • Impersonate a person or business.
    • Upload malicious code or interfere with the platform’s operation or security.
    • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or nonpublic information.
    • Use the service for unlawful advertising, fraud, harassment, or spam.
    • Copy or redistribute substantial portions of the directory without permission.
    • Use automated tools contrary to our published access rules, technical restrictions, or applicable law.

Our robots file provides technical crawling instructions. It does not independently grant a license to republish directory content or bypass access restrictions.

  10. 10. Corrections, Ownership Claims, and Rights Complaints

To report inaccurate information, an unauthorized listing, impersonation, or an intellectual-property concern, contact admin@babygoat.io.

Identify the listing or material, explain the issue, and provide your contact details and any supporting information reasonably needed to investigate.

We may verify your identity or authority before transferring control of a listing or acting on a removal request.

Copyright or trademark complaints should identify the protected work or mark, the disputed material and its location, the basis of the complaint, and your authority to act.

We may request additional information, restrict disputed content, or contact the affected business as appropriate. This process does not limit any formal notice procedure or remedy available under applicable law.

  11. 11. Information for Visitors

Business information comes from businesses, their public websites, and other sources identified where appropriate. Human review does not guarantee that every detail is complete, current, or correct.

Confirm important details directly with the business, including hours, prices, availability, licensing, insurance, and qualifications.

A listing is not an endorsement, certification, or recommendation. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of a business’s products or services.

Any purchase, booking, or other arrangement is between you and that business. GoatAtlas is not a party to that transaction.

Third-party links are provided for convenience. We do not control those websites or their content, practices, or availability.

  12. 12. Accessibility

We aim to make GoatAtlas usable by people with disabilities and work toward conformance with WCAG 2.1, Level AA.

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some features may not yet function fully with every device or assistive technology. Third-party websites and content may have separate accessibility limitations.

If you encounter a barrier, email admin@babygoat.io or contact support with the page and a description of the problem. We will review the issue and work to provide reasonable assistance or an accessible alternative while addressing it.

Nothing in this section limits rights under applicable accessibility laws.

  13. 13. Activity Figures

Dashboard figures and activity reports are estimates intended to provide general information.

Counts may exclude or misclassify activity because of tracking restrictions, technical limitations, automated traffic, third-party platforms, or contacts made outside GoatAtlas.

Figures are not audited and do not establish a guaranteed number of unique visitors, leads, or customers.

Our Privacy Policy explains any collection and use of information associated with analytics.

  14. 14. Service Availability and Results

We work to present business information accurately, but we do not control search engines, AI assistants, or other third-party platforms.

We do not guarantee inclusion in a search result or AI answer, a particular ranking, uninterrupted visibility, or any number of visits, leads, sales, or customers.

GoatAtlas is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

We may maintain, update, or modify the service. If a change permanently ends a paid service you purchased, the refund provisions in Section 5 apply.

  15. 15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoatAtlas and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, business opportunities, or data, arising from use of or inability to use the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims arising from the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

    • The fees you paid GoatAtlas for the listings or services giving rise to the claims during the 12 months preceding the first event giving rise to liability; or
    • $100.

Multiple claims do not increase this aggregate limit.

These limitations do not exclude or restrict liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

They also do not eliminate refunds expressly promised in these Terms or nonwaivable statutory rights.

  16. 16. Business Indemnity

If you use GoatAtlas on behalf of a business, you agree to defend and indemnify GoatAtlas and its officers, employees, and agents against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal expenses to the extent caused by:

    • Content you provide that infringes another party’s rights.
    • Your business’s products, services, or unlawful conduct.
    • Your material breach of these Terms.

This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from GoatAtlas’s negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of these Terms.

We will give prompt notice of a claim, provide reasonable cooperation at your expense, and allow you to control the defense using reasonably qualified counsel. Delayed notice reduces your obligations only to the extent it materially prejudices the defense.

You may not agree to a settlement that admits fault by GoatAtlas, imposes nonmonetary obligations on us, or fails to release us fully without our written consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

  17. 17. Resolving Disputes

Please first send a written description of a concern to admin@babygoat.io or our mailing address below. Include enough information to identify the account, issue, and requested resolution.

Before filing a lawsuit, each party agrees to allow 30 days after receipt of that notice for good-faith efforts to resolve the matter.

This process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent court relief, preserving a claim before a deadline expires, reporting concerns to a government agency, or exercising rights that cannot be restricted by contract.

These Terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class or representative proceeding. Applicable legal filing deadlines apply.

  18. 18. Optional Consulting

Consulting services are optional and are not required to obtain or maintain a directory listing.

Any consulting engagement will be governed by a separate written agreement covering its scope, fees, deliverables, and other terms.

If that agreement conflicts with these Terms regarding consulting services, the consulting agreement controls for those services.

  19. 19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with its effective date.

For material changes affecting account holders, we will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice by email or another legally permitted method, unless a shorter period is reasonably necessary for legal or security reasons.

Where applicable law requires affirmative consent, we will obtain it before applying the change.

Changes will not retroactively alter the terms governing an existing dispute or reduce a paid service period already purchased without your agreement.

If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel future renewals. If we require acceptance of a material change to continue providing an already-paid service and you decline, we will end that service and refund its unused prepaid portion.

  20. 20. Suspension, Removal, and Account Closure

We may suspend or remove a listing or account when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, security risk, legal obligation, or credible rights complaint.

When practicable and appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to correct the issue. Immediate action may be necessary in some circumstances.

If we permanently terminate a paid listing for your material breach, future renewal charges stop. Fees for the current period are nonrefundable to the extent permitted by law.

If we permanently terminate a compliant listing for our convenience or discontinue its paid service, we will refund unused prepaid fees as described in Section 5.

You may request account closure through support or admin@babygoat.io. A verified account-closure request cancels all future subscription renewals associated with that account.

You may request immediate removal of public listings. Otherwise, paid listings remain available until their current periods end. Removing a listing early at your request does not create a partial-refund entitlement.

Account closure and deletion of personal information are separate processes. We handle deletion requests and retain necessary records as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Provisions that reasonably need to continue after termination remain effective, including payment obligations already incurred, permitted record retention, intellectual-property provisions, liability limitations, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

  21. 21. Governing Law and Courts

California law governs these Terms, without applying conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Subject to mandatory venue rights, disputes will be heard in the California state courts located in San Mateo County, or the federal court serving that county.

Either party may bring an eligible claim in a small claims court with proper jurisdiction.

This section does not deprive users of nonwaivable protections provided by applicable law.

  22. 22. Notices and General Terms

We may send account and legal notices to your current account email address or through another method permitted by law. Notice timing and delivery will follow applicable legal requirements.

Send formal notices to the email or mailing address below.

These Terms, together with any offer terms you expressly accept, constitute the agreement concerning the directory service. Our Privacy Policy separately describes our personal-information practices. A separate consulting agreement governs consulting services.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive the right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your account or contractual rights without our written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization, subject to applicable law and any required notice.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. This does not excuse obligations that cannot legally be excused or eliminate express refund rights under these Terms.

These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture relationship between GoatAtlas and a listed business.
